Our housing officers are here to offer help and advice about your home and community and their aim is to ensure that your tenancy with RHA is a happy and successful one.
What can my Housing Officer help me with?
Your Housing Officer is your main point of contact for any help and advice that you want about your home, your tenancy and the surrounding area.
Here are some of the ways your housing officer can help you:
Deal with estate matters such as inspections where they look at any improvements that can be made to common areas, fly tipping on land, abandoned vehicles, and identifying any safety hazards
Deal with neighbour disputes and support other agencies such as the Police and Local authority on issues that affect the lives of our tenants
Tenancy changes – Succession, mutual Exchanges and where there has been a change in name or relationship
Tenancy management in that ensuring both we and you meet the obligations set out in the tenancy agreement
Tenancy visits – We will visit you 3 months after you have moved in to see that you have settled in and whether there are any issues. We will also visit again in a further 6 months to ensure that all is well with your tenancy and your home. After this we will visit you in your home at least every two years to see that your home still meets your needs, that there are no tenancy related issues and also that the information that we hold about you is still correct.
